 Post subject: New Enemy Ideas: The Kett

ME:A is out and I thought I might as well use this as an opportunity to try and solicit ideas, and aid in possibly writing up the new baddies.

So the Kett...

As tabletop rpg baddies we don't really need to go into their social structure right away (that is what Codex entries are for). And TBH, I haven't finished the game yet but I thought it was a good idea to get some of this out there.. As it stands, I've just got a list and random thoughts on them so far.

  • Chosen: Foot soldier types that lack shields but hold their own.
  • Annoited: Has shields and carries a heavy weapon. Sometimes has Armour plating
  • Destined: Not only has Shields but can cloak too. Sneaky buggers.
  • Wraith: Can Cloak. Dog thing, not the C thing you see more often.
  • Fiend: Large. More info as aquired
  • Archon: Only seen him in cut scenes so far, is the boss. Mad at me for not coming quietly.

Please share your ideas and discuss how you think it should work.

Don't forget about those "lieutenants" with own shield - Primus, Cardinal, Prefect - they all seem to be the same "version"

I'd say maybe have multiple abilities (including an invulnerable shield) tied to spawning their 'orb', a drone that orbits them. Redeploying the orb would have a certain cooldown after it's destroyed, something like 1-3 rounds.
